havana - PRESSED WITH A PAUSE BUTTON from 1960
An yearning to see the communist country endowed with its rich history and its strategic location of being on the shore of the Atlantic ocean, with its classical-contemporary vibe, was evoked back into those history classes, flipping through the pages of Cuban revolution. Hence, we decided to tick this place off our bucket list.
After having traveled to Havana, we realized that summing our experience in the blog is not only a fanciful notion but a futile exercise. In retrospect, we decided to share some pictures with you taken in Havana and Santa Maria Del Mar (where we originally stayed for 4 days) to experience the Cuban life that is so distractedly fascinating. The city of Havana, seemed to be like a canvas of olden times, sprayed with vibrant colors of love, stagnation, oddities and happiness. A chic and an upscale city of 1960s pressed with a pause button and only have been played since then, albeit restrictions of bounty!
The chicness and the vibrancy of these classic American cars are a visual delight and without them Cuba will cease to be a country of yesteryear which holds its history so dear even today.
Fresh coconut water topped with Havana Club and accompanied by Son Cubano, an amalgamation of Spanish and African music, by these street musicians were a sheer delight in 38 degrees Celsius.

EMULATING THE ETHEREAL
When we first set ourselves into the ocean that emulates the azure above, the feeling was so full of glory, that it's difficult to express in words.
CHASING THE DUSK..
...memories of Havana will be etched in our hearts forever, leaving imprints in the sands of time...and this was just the beginning to sooth our wandering souls...
